When Pepijn is addressed by his mother on the similarities with his father, he starts a search for himself in the hope of changing. Where he initially tries to break through the physical similarities, he soon comes to realise that they are also internally similar. Pepijn completely loses himself in this hopeless search for 'being unique'.

For this film, I did a rough cut in the month of September, after which Jaap and I worked on the editing for several periods until mid-December. This was the deadline for Jaap's master vision. Jaap passed cumlaude with this film, but during editing we had to make a quick decision about the story, which in retrospect didn't feel quite right to Jaap, he was unsure whether he wanted to tell his story that way. So we jointly decided it was good for someone else to go back with him in editing to finalise it.
